In the midst of a hot summer, a giant coconut washed on the shore of Constanța. The people rolled it with great effort onto the beach and carved out its interior. The shell became the bar and the pulp was turned into drinks. ... The Coconut Bar was created especially for organic products and to accommodate the temporary needs of a festival. This, and natural parametric structures informed the organic shape of the final proposal. It was designed and produced using digital fabrication tools and assembled from individual elements that joined like a 3D puzzle. The main aesthetic was the wooden structure itself, showing the initial influence of symmetrical coconut tree leaves, and emphasizing the (fractal) forms of the bar.
